Happy Tummy: Dan Ryan's Chigago Grill

It was those rare Saturdays that Kuya Pau has to work, initially I was just planning to have our lunch at our ever reliable hawker centre, but being the coach potato that I am while waiting for Kuya Pau I decided to watch Master Chef and just like that my craving for something sweet hit me. I did try to get rid of this craving and posted it here and failed.

Kuya Paulo arrived and I was able to convince him to go to Dan Ryans Chicago Grill, one of our go to places when we need real American food, told Kuya Pau that Dan Ryans has not disappointed the carnivore in us so maybe it wont disappoint my sweet tooth too :-)

So together with Kuya Pau and our trusty eating companion Mr Yerzy Carbon we headed out to Dan Ryans.

Dan Ryans is located at Tanglin Road, the nearest MRT station is Orchard which you have two options take a bus and alight in Tanglin Mall or walk, we decided to take the bus :-).

Their brunch menu is quite extensive, but I am here with a mission, to finally have this craving put into a stop hahahahhaha

To start as off we ordered

Nachos
The chips were crunchy, it had enough toppings of salsa, guacamole and cheese that even the last chip would have its own share of topping.

Buffalo Chicken Wings
What could I say, the wings are great, seasoned well and their blue cheese... I could dip anything and it would still taste good.
New England Clam Chowder
Their Clam Chowder is one of the best, its has the clam flavor and creamy, you dont even need to put salt or pepper.

Yes, we are famished for we hadnt had our breakfast and its 2:30 pm, you would not want to see the Galang Siblings hungry but I was proved wrong I would not like to see Mr Carbon hungry for he is one grouchy guy hahahahah

While waiting, they would serve you this basket of freshly hot bread. It smelled delish and tasted even better. I made a mistake and took a photo just when Mr Carbon is about to take one, and he told me that he would show me a video that pertains to me. ( Video would be posted at the end )

And for our mains:

Kuya Pau
U.S.Rib Eye Steak
Kuya Pau is a proud carnivore, he loved the way the steak is seasoned and cooked the way he likes it Medium Rare, sadly to say some restaurant would not be able to do it.
The meat in tender that it melts in your mouth.

 Mr Yerzy Carbon
Baby Back Ribs
Again, the Ribs did not disappoint Mr Carbon the meat is tender the sides that came with it was seasoned Ohhh!! don't forget the gravy for the mashed potato its uber delish that you have to stop your self in getting a straw and sip the gravy :-)

Chuchubells
Blueberry Pancakes
This was it!! the reason why I drag them out, the pancakes!! It was three hot big pancakes, the butter on top was almost melting sipping into the pancakes and the maple syrup was to die for, it complimented the fluffy pancakes with tons of blueberry. Sweet but not empowering. The comfort food that I was craving for.  After each bite I would just give out a sigh...

Ok I know that in my previous post I would be rating each food individually but then not being biased this would not apply to our visit in Dan Ryans.

We loved the food from start to finish, it's everything that we wanted and Kuya Pau is giving it a thumbs up!!!

Our Tummy Verdict:

We are stuffed as in really stuffed that we did not have any desserts :-(. So we decided to walk to Orchard MRT Station to help us digest our food.

We looked and feel like Polar Bears stuffed and getting ready to hibernate, but it was totally worth it.

Dan Ryan's Chicago grill again made the 1 hour travel worth it.
