So how do I start with a review with Xyrene?? hmmmm you could see my post about this wonderful lady here and my experience with her during our e-shot here. Is there anything else that this lady could do that could make me love her more?? Well!! there was, she saved me!!!! as in literally, read on.
We might be laughing away in this pic but this was after the so called storm, hahahahha. The night before the wedding to be exact a few hours before the wedding when I was frantically organizing the things for the Church I realized that I don't have a secondary veil, so my MOH Chiqui decided to SMS one of our friends to drop by Megamall on her way to the Church (Plan A). When Xyrene learned about this at 7am she calmly told me she would call Nino and ask if he has a spare veil that we could use, Nino told her that I should not worry if he does not have one in hand he would be the one to purchase it and that he would ensure that I would have a secondary veil.

I having very super fine hair my sisteret Chiquitita bought an extension that she forgot to bring and guess what!!! Xyrene bought one too and I did not even knew about it.


I did mention that I was still awake in the morning of our wedding day, I was awake until 5 am hahahah and my suppliers call time was 7am. So guess what Xyrene saw when I opened the door, you guessed it right a puffy eyed, zombie like bride :-).

Well it didn't frazzled her, she told me to take a shower, have my coffee and then she started to do her magic.

And the result was...




A glowing natural me!!!!! Who would have thought that I only had 2 hours of sleep!!! I loved loved my make up on my day, It was light and natural, when I saw myself in the mirror I almost cried hahahaha stopped myself for I don't want to ruin it. I did have some experience having my make-up done professionally and the result would be I won't recognize myself, but for Xyrene she would enhance your features and you would still be you!!!

Ok, you might say that of course she would do a good job with the Bride well, she did some of my entourage as well.

My Maid of Matron Sister Energizer Bunny Chiquitita who by the way had also 2 hours of sleep.




My jowaness opps! hubbyness who I think the only person that got enough sleep hahahahaha.

How could you give a rating to someone that saved your day in so many ways, Xyrene went over and beyond anyone's expectation not only is she talented but she has the biggest heart.

Some might raise their eyebrows and say of course she has to do a good job she a supplier for heaven sake.. but for me she could have chosen to just do her job and thats all but going the extra mile was unexpected.
 
She treated me not as a client but as her BFF who is getting married.

I can't thank her enough, as I've said in my previous post.. I found a friend in her I truly did.

And to you my BFF Thank you for making our day super special.

It's been awhile since my last post, as always my work gets in the way of my blogging life hahaha.
Anyways, am back!

I was able to go to Manila for only a week and one task on my to do list was our Engagement Shoot, e-nup, pre-nup hahahaha it's been called to many names.

As you may know I booked my HMUA Ms. Xyrene of Make-up by XY without a meeting or a trial make-up. It was thru FB that we chatted about the details, we bonded and even before I meet her, I already love her hahahaah.

So meeting her for the first time was exciting. I was wondering if the same chemistry that we had in FB would translate in person. (Yes! it's like meeting your online friend EB style).

On the 19th of March... We finally met :-)

And of course we clicked, bonded, laughed which is a big relief. And the bonus points are she also bonded with our Photographer Rvee Santiago, Videographer Onair Aerial and my ever lovable Tita Mileth.

Knowing that my team likes each other, is such a big deal for me am into this TEAMWORK maybe it's my ex-manager persona trying to come out hahahahha.

Enough of this gleaming comments, I know you guys want to know how it went.

Xyrene and Adrian came on time, their call time was 9:00 am. She even sent an SMS that they are on their way.

I know you B2B would like to know how I would rate her and of course any pros and cons, to here it goes.

Opps! Got to explain my rating scale, since I am such a emotional person and my EQ level if as high as Mt. Everest I decided to rate according to how I love them.

My ratings are based on my personal experience and expectation during our engagement shoot. So please take it with a pinch of salt :-)

Rating: (1 Heart lowest - 5 Hearts Highest)


Pro's:

• Xyrene and Adrian arrived on time
• She could multi task.. Chikahan is a must for me but this lady could work and talk at the same time. 
• She has a good sense of humor which made me feel at ease, am not used to putting on make-up since I changed career.
• When she was doing my make-up I noticed that she has this habit of cleaning her tools during and after using it, again being hygienic is a major plus!!!  
• Super attentive, during the photo shoot she follows us around to make sure that my makeup is ok, although I did not find the need for her to do this since the air brush make up was holding well and take it from me I perspire like a waterfall. 
• I don't know how the other HMUA works but she stayed all through out the shoot which made me feel special..that am not just a client. She made sure that I was ok.

A few months ago I posted about my prospective HMUA here. I finally made a decision to book Xyrene.

Sisteret Xyrene is a Girl Talk find, she is one of the first suppliers that I contacted in April this year and I actually chatted with her in FB, we instantly hit it off as if we had known each other for years hahahaha you guys should see our chat its like 1k + messages . I hadn't booked her yet but she is willing to give advices (she even offered to help me haggle with other suppliers), answer my thousand and one questions even those not related to HMUA. I was at ease with her, you could actually feel that she is a sincere person.

OK, dont get me wrong I did not book her just because she is nice (but that does have points) and all but she is also one talented lady, here are some of her works.








 Natural, radiant brides! If these pictures are not enough to convince you how talented she is, In June 2013 during the We're Engaged Bridal Fair her group was awarded the Top Booking Award for HMUA.
It was just sad that I was not able to meet her then, I was in Manila for some wedding preps I had a attack of Tamadithis (lazzyness).

But we still kept in touch once I came back to Singapore and our chat times continued.

So, why only now did I book her? Well anyone planning a wedding would know this, its all about schedule. Me and Jowaness wanted to finish our Ceremony and Reception payment. So when it was done I quickly informed Xyrene, got her bank details and remitted our DP.

Yahoo!! am now officially an XY Bride.So excited so be able to sit in her makeup chair...hmmm? now makes me wonder if it could hold me. (note to self: Be serious in my diet thingy..no more ice creams)
