And to kick start the re-opening of Wild Wild Wet they have the Seeing Double campaign, so during the launch Downtown East invited the public to join in an attempt to set the Singapore Book of Records for the ‘Largest Gathering of Dress Alike Duos’.
To encourage members of the public to join in the record-setting attempt, the first 200 pairs of participants who come dressed identically gained complimentary access to Wild Wild Wet on 4 June.
It just got more interesting right, how can I pass on an opportunity to be part of setting a record.
So I dragged my hubbyness and brother Phlebas, another friend who on the day was not able to make it:-(
and these peeps dressed identically greeted us
Even the peeps manning the registration which looked so adorable. It also made me toink myself on the head for not bringing a hat 😩.
At 9:00 am we were finally able to go in.
This is our first time going to Wild Wild Wet so am quite amazed when we entered of how big it is, just looking at the map made me tired and excited at the same time.
This will greet you upon entering
And if you're worried about your tummy don't fret they have you covered just in case you forgot to eat because of too much excitement.
And for your valuables, they have a locker where you could keep them.
And now, let's talk about setting the record.
We went to the tentage to take part in the attempt to set the Singapore Book of Records for the ‘Largest Gathering of Dress Alike Duos’.
And of course Hubbyness and I took this as a chance to take wefies haha haha.
All pairs were called to fall in line so that the guy from the Singapore book of records can start counting.
While waiting for the guy to finish counting, the host started the Best Dressed Competition to keep the crowd entertain, lucky we were just on the 2nd row to enjoy it.
And Hubbyness was busy taking photos.
And the winners are these adorable kiddos
Ok, the guy (am regretting not getting the name) finished counting and we did it1!! 111 pairs for Singapore Book of Records for the ‘Largest Gathering of Dress Alike Duos’.
And a got a certificate, which is so cool.
And before we could enjoy the rides or rather Hubbyness, me and my brother decided not to do the rides he find the weather too hot and for me, I was not feeling well but the good side I was able to be the photographer hahahahhaah
We need to find some shade!!!! Which Wild Wild Wet had lots of choices
You could rent their Cabanas, for rental click HERE
Or you could go for the Canopies which is on a first come first served basis some are located in a secluded place
Near the rides
And we plunked ourselves near The Woosh
At this point I was opening the goodie bag from Sample Store but then the excitement got the best of me, I love goodie bags reminds me of Christmas morning that I toink! forgot to take photos, lucky my brother was able to take a video of me which I've posted on Youtube.

Now lets us talk about The Woosh at Wild Wild Wet, for the month of June and July, members of the public will have an exciting attraction to check out in Wild Wild Wet.
The Woosh is Singapore’s longest inflatable freestyle water slide, where you can slide down the entire length of 50m from a height of 4.5m in almost any way possible.
The dual lanes also mean that you and your friends or family can challenge each other and compete to see who can slide further along the slide.
Hubbyness was able to try, he found it fun although he thinks it could be faster coz he stopped somewhere in the middle of the lane and that he needed to walk to the exit. I think the Wild Wild Wet staff noticed and they did try to rectify the issue in the afternoon the guests were happier when they rode The Woosh.
And since I am the photographer I have to follow Hubbyness around and watch him have fun 😩
If you are thinking that Wild Wild Wet water park only have those high rise attractions, they are kid friendly which means you could bring the kiddos they cater for adults and kid alike.
Some fun kids attraction
This brought out the kid in Hubbyness
And if you're a little bit older hahahahah and want some adrenaline boost, they got you too.
Royal Flush
Torpedo, Ular-Lah and The Waterworks
Slide up
And this will be for me, the scary cat when it comes to such things.
this will be good for families who want to do some bonding time in the water.
Shoik River
Tsunami
Jacuzzi
The weather was not cooperating for it was so hot and if you are wondering yup I looked like a roasted suckling pig 🙎. We took our shower, packed up, and decided to go for lunch.
Upon exiting the water park you could ask the staff to stamp your wrist if you have the intention of returning, but since we have a birthday party to go to we did not.
Downtown East did not disappoint in giving us choices as to where we could fill our tummy.
If you are into Fastfood, they have Mc Donalds and KFC, which we gave it a pass.
They also had a food court.
None of the restaurants on the 1st floor took our fancy so we decided to go to the 2nd floor.
The ever favorite Starbucks.
Downtown East provides a wide of variety of choices for your hungry tummy from Western, Japanese and Chinese Cuisines you could choose from.
But this caught our eyes and got me and my brother Phlebas excited
We told ourselves, we only live once and since we are already on HB medication for life why not hhahahahhaha, we went to eat at Eighteen Chefs.
Don't ask me how the food was, that's for another post A Happy Tummy Adventure.
Remember about the 16th Birthday party we were supposed to attend? After having our lunch we decided to walk over to the D'Resort, And lucky there is this walkway on the 2nd floor that leads into D'Resort.
D’Resort @ Downtown East is a nature-inspired resort nestled in the lush greenery of Pasir Ris Park. Opened on 1 July 2015, the 387-room D’Resort has since provided guests a quiet yet contemporary staycation away from hectic city life.
Sounds great? Let us check it out.
This was a welcome surprise because it's shaded hahahahah, and you could actually see Wild Wild Wet in its full glory while walking.
The party is only starting at 5 pm so we took a leisurely walk over and of course took a few pics on the way.
D'Resort front office is on the 2nd floor but if you are walking using the walkway from Wild Wild Wet you have to go to the 1st floor and go to the 2nd floor, which was kinda weird but I guess that's a layout issue.
Thier front office had this modern, clean vibe.
After checking out the Front office/ reception we did another round of walking and discovered some Instagramable places
We realized that we are still kinda early, so how to pass our time? we had coffee and some salted eggs buns.
The White Tangerine is located on the same floor as the reception area and beside it, is a Cheers Convenience store.
D’Resort offers a total of 9 different room types which cater to different needs and demographics. There are rooms for every budget and occasion, comprising chalet units and suites, of which many offer a unique park, mangrove, and beach views.
The area is huge, but don't worry there are tons of signs like this to guide you.
The party will be held at the Mangrove area, and we found it.
When we arrived there were people already starting their BBQ.
At this point, I was told by my Hubbyness and brother Phlebas to stop taking photos and be sociable hahahah for we are in a birthday party 🙎 outnumbered I have to give in.
Tired, burned but it was an eye-opening experience for me, during the school breaks we usually travel overseas to get some R&R, but being able to visit D’Resort and Wild Wild Wet the integrated water park resort here at Downtown East, made me realize that this could be an alternative for us.
Downtown East got you covered, with an array of retail, dining and entertainment and family friendly facilities. No wonder it's the go-to destination for a staycation.
I already pitched my idea to Hubbyness and brother that we should try spending either Christmas or New Year here this year, that we should try visiting again when the weather is not that hot 😃.
But for you guys that can't wait, or just wondering what can you do during the remainder of the June Holidays here is something for you
Downtown East’s Seeing Double campaign
